The Dominion Music Video Experience
DominionMVX was the multimedia division of Dominion Digital DJs. It's retired now, but this is how it worked.

The Dominion Music Video Experience, or DominionMVX, mixed music, music videos, TV and movie clips with customized, directed content from private and corporate clients.
You've probably been to a party with a great DJ, where one great song plays seamlessly into the next. Now imagine hearing that and looking up to see the music video of the song at the same time. Then, without skipping a beat, scenes from your favorite TV show set to music appear, followed by shots of your crowd dancing.
How clients used it
- Corporate events: the company logo onscreen between videos, or a custom music video built from the client's own media for a product launch.
- Sweet Sixteens: a slideshow honoring the people lighting the 16 candles.
- Weddings: live video close-ups of the bride dancing with her teary-eyed father.
- Any party: a nonstop music video mix with effects and scratches, from a DJ playing as if on normal turntables.
Why video?
The research the team shared at the time suggested that adding video to audio makes media more effective and events more memorable, and that people kept talking about the entertainment for far longer than with audio alone. Video also opened the door to multimedia greetings, infographics, and live interaction with guests over Twitter and Facebook.
dominionmvx.com
In 2012 the MVX got its own site, dominionmvx.com, a music video blog that collected the week's new videos, plus a Facebook page at facebook.com/dominionmvx where video mixes were shared. The Internet Archive's copy still shows it.
